Absol specifically goes against what the dark type being evil means as it is a regular animal followed by disasters and gets blamed for it. They live solitary lives in the mountains and can sense natural disasters which is why it warns people. They even have a calm and caring personality. Now mega absol is more dark related as it can send out an intimidating aura that can cause people to faint.
Darkrai is basically the same in that it can cause nightmares but only to protect itself and its territory which can sometimes result in someones death. It is also nocturnal.
Purrloin and liepard are like alolan meowth and persian. They're assholes who rob people and trick them into liking them. They're also ambush predators when they become a liepard and are primarily nocturnal as a result and are apparently bipolar and vicious in nature.
Zorua and zoroark are like a mix of darkrai and umbreon in that they use illusions only to protect themselves and others they care for and then runs away afterwards and are cowards as zorua. The darkest part about zorua is that it sometimes replaces a child with itself. Zoroark is darker in that if it gets pissed off it will trap someone in an illusion forever.
Nickit and thievul are basically just foxes and only steal to survive.
