It's bizarre how much they had to change his proportions just to make the animations work.

They probably started with good intentions but somewhere along the line, they were too deep in to turn back. He feels rushed and not very well fleshed out.

Man Blastoise gets fucked over by everything. He has a really good design when done properly, but its so rare to actually see it done properly anymore. That might be the worst Blastoise has ever looked

OP was talking about his actual competitive viability, most likely, since Blastoise is one of the (very, very few) characxters in Pokken generally considered to be unviable in high level play

Been long time since I've seen a Pokken tier list.
Last I remember, Empoleon was considered bad too, but started getting high tournament usage anyway.

That all being said even the absolute worst character in Pokken is still like low mid tier by Smash standards or something, which goes to show you how balanced Pokken i that every other character in the roster is higher then that.
