Contrast their attitude with pic related and an entirely different set of logic has to be applied. Thing is, I actually agree with Matei on this. The games the dude plays are hard as nails, not merely tedious like Pokemon's shiny hunting. It takes actual skill and self discipline to legitimately beat many old NES games, not mashing buttons whilst half asleep on the couch waiting for a one-in-a-million chance to eventually occur. Sure, the ability to endure tedium is, in a sense, a skill I suppose. But the difference between that and being able to religiously beat Battletoads on original hardware is tremendous.
