I did like SuMo, though, but still had plenty of complaints there, especially for USUM. Story was fine after the initial roadblocking, I liked most of the characters besides Hau and Sophocles, the Trials were novel gimmicks, Team Skull rules, some good new Pokemon designs, PokeRide wasn't as good as LGPE's but better than a bike, Plaza was an even worse Join Avenue, but Pelago was pretty handy. USUM adds some good fights, but shits up the story and isn't worth buying the game twice.
Before that it'd be G/S for how big of an upgrade it felt from RBY. Maybe that's just nostalgia talking, though, but I know gen 1 was a mess, and DiaPer made me want to quit the series for good.
