Gen 6 is very good.

Designs went downhill in Gen 3 and never recovered. Thankfully, each gen still has a tiny amount of good designs.

mixed bag. everything is either really good, really bad, or just nondescript. i don't think there are any gen 6+ pokemon that I'd look at and say "oh yeah, that exists. it's pretty neat, maybe i should use it sometime" like i would for random gen 3 or 4 mons

Gen 6 is fine, overall it's a net positive, Gen 7 and 8 though are both quite polar, there are designs in both I like a lot (Ribombee & Centiskorch being my favourites from each generation) but there are a lot I am either ambivalent or just don't like particularly from Gen 8.

Gen 6 & 7 are a mixed bag.
Although I have 'shit' taste as I'm the only person I know who unironically loves Carbink, Avalugg and Shiinotic.
Haven't played SS so I won't give an opinion, it's not the same unless I use the pokémon. Autistic I know...

Gen 1 has the most amount of boring pokemon (ekans, seel, krabby) aside from those it's great

Gen 2 is mostly good

Gen 3 is mostly good but designs started to become noticeably ugly and cartoony

Gen 4 is easily the worst, very forgettable dex if you don't count the cross gen evos, which are over designed and hideous

Gen 5 is mostly good and my favorite with a real awful early dex

Gen 6 is ok just kinda boring but ok

Gen 7 is mostly good especially the cool/weird UBs

Gen 8 is mostly good

Okay though there are some designs that look ugly to me. It's still the most forgettable dex in the most forgettable region and generation.

Outside of starters and few pokemons, there are many good designs overall.

Good to ok. From my impressions it felt like they gave each of Gen 8 pokemon their moments/roles in the game, which is good since they probably won't be very forgettable like Gen 6.

Without counting some really bad ones, 85% of the dex is actually really, really good. It's very cohesive all in all.

Shit nigger what are you doing tier. Solid, plasticky, default MS Paint colors that unironically look like Temtems, and overall shapes and designs that make the end result not look like Pokemon at all. Everything feels.. wrong.
