Maybe if they didn't make their key new gameplay feature an extremely limited time gated slog people wouldn't feel the need to exploit the raids. But as it stands, you're either stuck grinding watts, stuck with whatever raids other people share that you manage to get into via the shitty online service, or you get to do a couple utterly terrible ones a day while hoping that tomorrow might be better.

I don't think GF ever keep up with updates or patches. Remember the one where they added effects to pokeballs in XY? That took them a while to do. It took them until the DLC announcement to do Version 1.1.0 and even then that added more bugs like this to boot. The reason nobody notices is that for the most part, you need to be playing through the campaign to notice since hardly many people would be speaking to NPCs during the "postgame". For that reason, people starting the game will be having the short end of the stick. A small problem is still a problem. People thinking this is a non-issue need to re-evaluate and look at the bigger picture.

Basically you set the clock forward until you get a shiny, then you can either cheat with a hacked switch to get whatever pokemon you want or keep rolling per set number of days to get a shiny at random until you get the one you want.
