It's fucking bullshit. You get an incomplete game, then they make you pay to return the Pokemon THAT WERE FEATURED ON PAST GAMES.

I've had this argument with my friend who bought the game. He's adamant that he's not being ripped off, and that this new DLC tactic is good, eliminating the need for a third version.

Yeah, this is it. As far as dex cuts go, I don't really care as I don't get attached to "muh bro" and absolutely need it to be in every game. Honestly, if the word never got out about the cuts, the vast majority of players would not even notice the absence.

It's nice for the people who have some emotional bond to their favorites to be able to get them back, but as someone who battles it has been very refreshing to not have Landorus and Heatran fucking everywhere, and knowing they'll be back and better than ever is painful. If they brought back a bunch of shitmons I would be happier, personally. Nobody likes Legendary Pokemon anyway.

Absolutely irrelevant, Going into Casual and LInk Battles allows me to have battles nearly identical to the Ranked mode ones except for the occasional Zacian. The entire online experience is at all times tailored for it, making it breezier to just jump in at all times with no worries.

They're all the same DLC. But even people that didn't buy the DLC will be able to transfer the re-added monsters thru Pokemon Home or trade them with friends or even capture them by accessing Max Raid Battles.

All the DLC gets you is the train-ticket to be able to visit the new areas.

Now, it really didn't matter what they said - they'd have come up with some other excuse if they needed to but most of the people agreeing with them are equally as casual and would never bother opening the rebuttals to the nonsense.

Every single major nintendo series, whether they moved from the handheld line or were always console based, made sure that their opening entry on the switch was a knockout hit. If you intend to play the "industry standard" card then pokemon can and should be held to the same expectations, and if they can't meet those expectations they should keep their price at 40 dollars, but they didn't. No developer, artisan, or salesman is just entitled to the customer's money, they need to create a product or service that is on par with or exceeding similar products or services at the same price point, which is something that gamefreak has not only failed to do, but they then have the audacity to demand more money for the things that should have been there in the first place to even come close to justifying the sixty dollar price tag.
aside from that point, read and respond to the whole fucking post instead of sidestepping one point and declaring the entire post invalid.

In comparison to 3DS numbers SwSh is on track to sell 20% less, even if it sells millions.
