Alright so, I know all the other pokefags here are going to shit on me for this. But with the proof behind game freaks lie, their franchise anchoring, and generally lazy greedy practices, i've been wondering if some of the new stuff coming out have more potential to start creating competition.

Only a few of the models were changed at all, not built from scratch, and even then they are very few polygons at all.

They've lowered their expectations on new games so significantly they can get away with ridiculous shit.

So my real question is, do you guys think games like tem tem, which bring the old classic pokemon feel, but innovate on it, and bring new mechanics, gameplay, and ideas to the brand, have a chance to overtake pokemon and pick up the slack. With all the outraged fans I think it has a chance to sweep those fans off their feet and fuck over gamefreak.
