Toxapex honestly feels less good in gen 8 than in gen 7.
Too many of the best breakers in the meta just don't give a fuck about it.
LO Clefable 2HKOs it, while Calm Mind varients with Thunder/bolt get free setup on it.
Sub Bulk Up Corviknight sets up on it for free if it's not a Haze variant, and even if it is running Haze I'm pretty sure Corviknight eventually can win the PP war.
Specs Aegislash 2HKOs it.
Specs Dragapult 2HKOs it.
Every Rotom form can potentially cripple it for the rest of the match with trick and also setup on it.
Hydriegon can Sub on it and setup.
Conkeldurr bulks up on it for free.
Banded Dugtrio 2HKOs it even if it gets burned after the first EQ.
Gengar sets up on it for free, while choiced variants can cripple it with Trick.
Dracovish can muscle past it if banded with very little support, while scarf can do the same with rain.
Hatterene gets free Calm Minds or a trick room on it.
Obstagoon doesn't care about anything pex does.
Togekiss gets free setup on it.
Honestly most teams are better off running Seismitoad.
And no one has used stall in SPL so far, so unless there's some crazy stall build that everyone overlooked that becomes big in the coming weeks, stall is complete trash in this meta.
