If you were to recommend someone a Pokemon game, which would you recommend? I know I would not recommend any of the 3D era games because the obnoxious amount of cutscenes would burn out anyone not used to playing rpgs or video games in general, and the childish character interactions could also turn others off. Those games have not aged well visually, especially XY/ORAS. The simple spritework of the older games will always be easier on the eyes.
