>>42471077As a VGC player, Dmaxing is a really fun and multi dimensional feature that I think makes playing more strategic and very dimensional. Boosting/debuffing gives you many combo opportunities that wouldn't have come about otherwise, and it really makes you think twice about using moves like Fake Out which is very meta.
In singles though, I can see it being a horrible letting you keep a sweeper out for free and snowball hard. I don't like Smogon's banning procedure, but I recognize this one may be for the best.
