Why did Gen 8 have so many cartoonish and ugly trainer designs? I'm not against having some goofier trainers but there were very few that actually looked good. What the heck happened? Why did they go so far in this direction? It felt like everyone you fought outside of the gym challenge was meant to be some kind of comedic relief.
