There are 5 rules
------
1.You can be attacked by multiple trainers at once
2.You must remain within the jungle
3.There are vicious wild pokemon within the jungle
4.You can only choose one pokemon, can't be legendary, pseudo legendary etc..
5.Healing items are hidden within the trees and jungle ruins, but are in limited supply

How would you fare in this scenario? Could you win the tournament?

Anyone who doesn't pick a Pokemon with Hydration or Shed Skin is gonna lose, Status Ailments will get you and Healing Items are an unreliable supply by comparison.

Personally I'd go with Accelgor although maybe Sandaconda if the weather is dryer.

Now based on the Pokemon found on Route 119, Great Marsh, Kalos Route 14, Lush Jungle & Glimwood Tangle which I feel come the closest to being Jungles (Lush Jungle being one outright) here is what I found (note: Lush Jungle does not include its cave since that is a separate environment).

Common (15 or more) - Grass, Water, Normal, Poison
Uncommon (10 or more) - Flying, Bug
Rare (5 or more) - Fairy, Ground, Psychic
Very Rare (1 or more) - Fighting, Dark, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Electric
Doesn't Appear (0) - Fire, Steel, Ice

So obviously Bug STAB to start with and to deal with Grass-Type, best bet is Bug Buzz since it runs on Accelgor's superior Sp. Atk. That eliminates Grass, Psychic & Dark as well as giving us a neutral for Water, Normal, Bug, Ground, Rock, Dragon & Electric. So the other type we really need to deal with is Poison-Type, only really one move can do that job here and that's Mud Shot, gotta make do. That gives us SE against Poison and Electric and a neutral against the remaining types except Flying. So for Flying-Type we'd need to dedicate Hidden Power towards, out of the three choices we can go with;

Rock - SE against Flying & Bug (Note: Fire & Ice don't appear)
Electric - SE against Flying & Water
Ice - SE against Ground, Flying & Dragon (Note: Grass is already covered)

So while Ice does cover more types, Electric-Type covers a more common encounter with Water-Type which should be appearing more often than Ground-Type and Dragon-Type combined. So HP Electric is the third move. So that just leaves an open fourth move, we've got a few types we could counter as a result; Normal, Bug or Fairy, so that gives us;

Focus Blast - SE against Normal
Sludge Bomb - SE against Fairy

Since Sludge Bomb is more reliable than Focus Blast plus gives us a Status Ailment afflicting effect I think I'd go with that. So the overall moveset for the Accelgor would be;

Bug Buzz
Mud Shot
HP Electric
Sludge Bomb

As for a held item, Choice Specs is the obvious choice since it would bolster all the moves power making Mud Shot & HP Electric more reliable. Leftovers would also be useful to increase longevity or Shell Bell depending on how likely the Pokemon is to get into fights. Bright Powder could also prove useful thanks to its Accuracy debuff. Smoke Ball would also be useful in avoiding wild battles.

I think I would probably go;
1) Choice Specs
2) Smoke Ball
3) Shell Bell
4) Bright Powder
5) Leftovers

If I got into a trainer battle I think the Choice Specs would be more critical to the battle assuming I couldn't just run away with the Smoke Ball.
