Ironic, you'll shit on Game Freak for not developing games to current-year/western standards, yet think they'll adopt current year/western sales tactics. That's the difference, Game Freak don't need to monetise their games - they have no shareholders crying for more, the three founders still work at the company and every release is another multi-million seller. I can say with certainty, they'll only start adapting lootboxes when Nintendo do and look how long it took Nintendo to start doing DLC, for example.

Let's put this into perspective. Nintendo has billions upon billions of dollars that they don't need. They have an insane amount of money saved up. Even if they suffered major losses for many years, it won't affect them at all. Nintendo is quite literally too big to fall. They could fuck up royally for 10 years in a row and it still wouldn't matter. Now do they need that much money? No, technically they don't. But the purpose of a business is to make money. If you don't understand how the real world works then you're either underage or just a stupid manchild. Cope harder, consumer.

They said in an interview in 213 they didn't see DLC as being part of the franchise then. Funny how when they moved to Switch and realised trying to sell a 3rd version for $60 would male people bitch and decide to include 3rd version content as an expansion, people cried regardless.

Literally every large corporation out there doesn't need more money, but that doesn't stop them from pushing profits further. For example we don't need another McDonald's restaurant, but that won't stop McDonald's from buying more land just so they can deploy another restaurant. They don't need to do anything different, but that doesn't mean they won't come up with some new idea to reel in more customers to consume their products. It's almost like the only thing that matters in business is making money.

You are twisting the facts to fit your narrative, they said 7 years ago that they didn't want DLC, something that a lot of people was mad about since having 3rd version is a cleary worse practice. But they never said anything or never promised that swsh would not have DLC.

Even if they don't do lootboxes, there's still plenty of dirty tricks they can use. Things like day 1 DLC for example. Or microtransactions. And don't tell me they won't do it, just because it's a children's game doesn't mean you have to have the brain of a literal child. Accept the cold, hard reality of this industry. Gamefreak did bad things and got rewarded for it, they now know how stupid and gullible their fans are, so they'll stoop even lower with the next game.

Not him but you're genuinely retarded if you didn't see any of the interviews that happened over the past months. Not just the IGN interview either which ended up being a major red flag (as well as the follow up video of IGN discussing the interview) right before Gamefreak decided to step forward and lie saying they won't do DLC. But I get it, you're too afraid to do your homework because it would mean clicking on links that lead to websites that 4chan told you you're not allowed to visit.
