Have you seen those shitty monster designs? The only decent one is the platypus, which is a literal Fakemon that they paid $6000 for. Said platypus also clashes hard with the rest of the monsters.

They could never be Pokemon, because Pokemon has a unified style that makes them all look like they belong in the same world.

Temtem does not have that style. It has its own style.

my problem with this game is that the game tries really hard to be a shitty pokemon clone.

just look at other moster catching games like dinosaur king, monster rancher,fossil figthers and monster racers all of them tried to be an unique thing instead of bank on pokemon.

the game is going to flop hard.

Not so much threatened as I am concerned. There's been many games that journalists or their own developers have called "The X Killer we've been waiting for" and failed to meet expectations. If you want to say "Hey, I want to make a Pokemon clone but it be an MMO instead" is fine, but saying "We plan to take The Pokemon Company's $93 billion frachise head on and we will prove we are the superior product" is something else entirely. I'm cool with Temtem existing, I hope the people making it have a long term gameplan in mind.
