This. Personally despite the flaws of the game, I love a lot of the new Pokemon, which is a first since Gen 5. But I know if I was a kid and saw SwSh, I'd be having an absolute blast, and wouldn't even care about the national dex and general flaws. I'd love a lot of Pokemon, love the wild area, the cutscenes, the music, etc.

Keep that childlike sense of wonder and learn to not be so critical of things and you'll start being a happier person with the things you love. Not to say you can't criticize things or want them to be better of course, but remember at the end of the day, Pokemon is aimed towards kids, so go into it like if you were still 8-10 in the 90s with Gen 1.

Could we stop with this ? Cyber Sleuth is likely one of the worst Digimon game.
Gameplay, story and difficulty are lackluster.
It's nice to see digimon again, but there are a lot of RPG better than Cyber Sleuth.

To think a game doesn't have flaws is silly, no game is perfect. There is some to enjoy about SwSh, which ultimately does boil down to opinion, like many things. Its not about turning your brain off, kids are still capable of critical thinking, not as much as an adult of course, but they are. It's about just not being overly critical of said things. Do I like the national dex shenanigans, god no and that could be better and make the games better, but there are also things that I do enjoy about SwSh too as a game and where things could possibly go forward, just as there are things I'm worried about (DLC/Expansion Packs) going forward.

I do agree that maybe OP should probably try to find more games and hobbies and things to do with his time that make life worth living, because putting all your eggs into one basket is bound to fail eventually.
