nice postgame.. in the meantime, sinnoh had all kinds of legendaries to catch. a fully fleshed out battle frontier with FIVE facilities, and the entire battle island to explore, as well as chairon-galactic's mission w/ looker.

I would say the only games with any semblance of challenge are:
Johto games (for the wrong reasons)
Unova games (for just a couple gyms)
USUM (totems and Necrozma)

Good job trying to make an argument there, except if you just bought Platinum, you really didn't miss anything.
Also, regardless of how you scratch it, Diamond and Pearl are perfectly playable games just by themselves. With just fine post games with one firm purchase. Sword and Shield require 60 dollars plus 30.

Yeah I definitely would just give them full movesets but that being said they do work for the most part since it means they don't keep tail whipping you for whatever reason. The fix to that though is just making better AI which is really something every pokemon game needs.

Totem battles are probably the most interesting and challenging non-NPC trainer battles the series has to offer. The buffed totem battles and inclusion of Bullshit Necrozma is one of the few saving graces of the boring rehashes that USUM were.

I wish they stuck with the Gym Challenge as the focus of the story. Marnie and Bede’s character had incredibly interesting premises, but are woefully underutilized. Perhaps Eternatus and box mons could have been the post game together instead of just the wolves.
