>>42496407Honestly this. In addition, I think it's an underrated tier in terms of how much fun it is to watch. It seemed like every tournament saw some new set, tech, Pokemon, or even playstyle emerge to prominence, and most teams had a good amount of creativity and innovation within.
Even Stall vs Stall, which is pretty rare, has a good amount of variation, with a lot of interesting builds, techs, and even Pokemon included.
It really is a shame that the awfulness that was the first year or two drove a lot of people off, because what came of it was really good. Though to be fair, I can't blame them because that first year was just terrible.
