Just a quick bump, I managed to get it set up on my 3ds by using pokemon classic's gts dns and it works for gen 4 even though there are a few gen 5 issues which are apparently caused by gen 5 not taking wifi resets like gen 4, making it more of a hassle that possibly requires a new game. Good news is that I depositted a shieldon and it is waiting for a new trainer! Thank you anons who helped and spread awareness of this site here on /vp/ so more users would join the fray.
