Discussion about TemTem, Digimon and other monster catchers should be allowed on this board. Not only is there a large overlap in playerbase and mechanics, /vp/ is mostly a shitposting/furry board and allowing threads about similar franchises to Pokemon would cultivate actual discussion and improve the quality of the board.

100% agree. Discussion of any monster collectan game inherently falls under the purview of a Pokemon board, and they've always been welcome by the /vp/ community. It's not like a few threads about other games would be worse than the hundreds of threads of people jerking off to Marnie, Glaceon and Masuda.

I just don't see the appeal of Pikmin and everyone I've met who likes it seems to be mentally unwell to put it nicely. My "hate" for Metroid is a little more complicated and I don't feel like typing a lot.

TemTem is likewise a derivative of Pokémon (other monster-catching franchises less so). Like romhacks and fakemon, it builds upon the gameplay mechanics and monster design philosophy that we consider essential to Pokémon. The endless shallow, out-of-context pokegirl/pokeboy threads do not. They're 'Pokémon' without Pokémon, and would be more at home on /cm/ or similar.

That's why TemTem is more Pokémon than pokegirl/pokeboy shit, and I don't even like TemTem.
