Speaking more to the design itself, overall, I like the concept, but I don't like the execution. Granbull looks really similar to western cartoon bulldogs, and while there's nothing wrong with that, it doesn't really impress me, either. His face is pretty cool but the rest of his body is very generic that way. Take a look at the dog from Tom and Jerry for an example of what I mean. Like a lot of other Pokemon, his transition to 3D was a disaster, too.
I don't hate the guy, but I feel that he's one of the weaker gen 2 designs.
