I lost my OG mons on a corrupt Platinum cartitrige to an Action Replay when I was a kid. Didn’t understand the risks I was taking and suffered the consequences. Haven’t touched cheats since. If anyone knows how to get those fuckers back with a cartridge editor I’d do anything but I think they’re gone for good

No, they aren't. They take away a lot of replay value and make them only relevant for movies. If Mythicals were obtained with specific achivements like a full Pokedex or beating the postgame facilities they would be cool by giving us Shiny variations or Mythicals with exclusive moves, but the limited-time only is bullshit desu

When I was 10 I discovered my brother’s action replay for Pokémon Pearl. I knew it had cheats and shit, didn’t know how to use it. Unfortunately my mom got really pissed off one day and threw it away with a bunch of other cool things. Ah, fun times. I’m glad the bitch died of cancer this past June

I never had a local toys r us so I missed out on some crucial events like Arceus and that specific regigigas you need to activate the other regis in Platinum but with the fan servers it's fine now and I've been able to get all that stuff.

If I can I cheat in all single player video games at some point; it's just more options and stuff you can do, fun to be had, etc. I understand not wanting to cheat in multiplayer (and I don't do it) but I will never understand the autistic purists who throw a bitch fit over someone cheating in a single player game.

Yes, when I was a child. I owned one of those and it honestly gave me more reasons to go back and play Pokemon pearl or heart gold when I finished them 2 times over as a kid.

I would cheat in various Pokemon from the games they weren’t in and use them in my team. Using blaziken in my Pokemon pearl team was always fun

Yes, usually to change names or speed up text in other games.
For Pokemon specifically I cheated to start in Hard Mode without having to beat BW2 first, and also hacked in a Tauros and gave my Kingler Fly back in Red.
