The mother series may not be as successful or wide spread as the pokemon mainline games, however Itoi is a better man than Masuda and Ohmori because he didn't plunge his passion into basically EA sports of Japan with a new installment every year with little to no changes. We really could have, the West earthbound cult following would assure it sold gangbusters, but thankfully Itoi has integrity.
