ice should take neutral damage for fire (ice melt and become water which puts out fire), resist water (obviously), and dark type (because ice combats immigrants)

I don't get why they didn't just make Ice resist Dragon plus give Dragon a weakness to Steel. That would've accomplished 2 of the things they set out to do with Fairy (nerf Dragon & buff Steel's offense).

Well you melting but putting out the fire afterwards isn't exactly what I would consider a neutral trade. However maybe ice should be *2 vs fire because of the reason you stated. It could be a cool dynamic.

Seeing the ICE type includes ice-crystal-beings and arctic creatures, a resistance to Electr is possible due to high Resistance of ice and thick fur, respectively. Grass should also be resisted as the cold they emit would "burn" incoming VineWhips, LeafBlades, Spores etc.

They should make ice resist Ground and Dragon. And be super effective on Bug and Rock. Ice and Rock should kill each other. Rock should also resist Fairy and Dark because prancing around won't hurt rocks (and fairy needs a nerf) and rock types resisted Bite back in gen1 so they should go back to resisting it again. Poison and Electric should resist water. There, type chart is fixed forever.

Avalugg needs some way to make it a great wall or tank. Like some factor(s) to negate the ice weakness that lets it tank physical moves really well with sheer bulk rather then resistances Gen 2 style and more utility akin to Tangrowth

BST buffs would probably help. Manly HP and spdef.
