I'm really enjoying it. Well-done region, good diversity of pokemon you can get, and some cool sequences. I also like how the learnsets were changed, so Arcanine actually gets moves.

Right.

Pretty standard team I'm running right now for Soul Silver. Meganium is actually shiny. Had sudowoodo for my rock type but traded it for pupitar/tyranitar to get ground stab and then dark stab, and had ampharos but traded it for magneton since I won flash cannon. Kinda want magmar but don't know who to trade for it, maybe magneton but to give magneton up before the 8th gym would be tough. Either way the team is a blast, breezing through the game while steadily being 2-4 levels below most trainer battles.

Well really wanted a shiny starter so I soft reset to get it. But chika was the one I wanted of tge three and it only took like 150 resets. I also got two random shiny rattatas in the same run, on the same route. That was pretty crazy.

Never played XD, how is it and how's the hack? Good type spread and mons for a 3 team and start.

Your luck is incredible Anon.

XD is a really fun game on its own but it has its flaws, which thankfully, XG fixes those. Buffs Pokemon, increases difficulty, and adds things from newer games (moves, abilities, items, and fairy type). Maybe it's not for everyone but the original is still good.

And yeah when I called my team shitmons i was thinking more in terms of competitive viability, not just campaign wise so that's mb.

I named samurott like that becuse its white whiskers look like jiraiya's hair from naruto + it sound noble
I wanted to name stoutland dogmatix but it sounds lame, idefix is the polish version of that

Trying to come up with a gimmicky team for a supernova sun playthrough. I want to use wishiwashi and toxicroak just because I feel like it.

KYOGRE - wanted to avoid a legendary, but heavy rain seems interesting. I'll likely never use this thing ever, so now's the best time to try it out I guess.
WISHIWASHI haven't used him in a while, felt like it
TOXICROAK just used him on the last playthrough, loved him after scolipede baton passed to him
REUNICLUS skill swap + regenerator seems like a fun idea
RAPID SPIN/BATON PASS/TRICK ROOM/ETC - these are missing, need ideas though. need gimmicks. need more stupid shitty gimmicks

Not sure if usum just has a ton of double battles, or if it's part of the mod I'm using, but double battles almost seem as common as singles.

Just used swampert, greninja, ferrothorn, scolipede, and pelipper on my last run, so I'm trying to avoid those.

Any fun ideas?

Yes, I considered using Rhyperior on my team several times before because it apparently hits hard and has an excellent ability in Solid Rock, but its godawful design always deterred me
