Illegal and very taboo. Still common in spite of that.

Pretty good, you can get a nice place somewhat affordably. Its not exactly a mansion, but if you're just looking for a simple, clean place with a nice view you're covered.

Not having a fully established league is a really big deal. You don't get many people moving somewhere where you don't have a league.
That said, buy now. If you can, buy two places and rent the other one out as an affordable villa. Maybe invest in a house boat so you can visit other islands without having to stay in a guest room.
