The reason for 8 being low in quality is because of frame drops.
7 is lower because it can't even run triple and rotation battles even though gen 6 had them.
1 is the lowest because it has various glitches.

In terms of pokemon they're all honestly about equal. I have nearly an equal amount of favorites from all gens except 6. 5 definitely has a lot more shit tier pokemon than other gens, but I don't care about that as much as ones I like therefore 1=2=3=4=5=7=8>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>6
Game quality: 4>5>2>7>8>3>1>6. Honestly just not a huge fan of Hoenn. I enjoyed them when they came out and enjoyed ORAS when those came out, but when I think about replaying old games RSE is typically bottom of the list

There was less shit pokemon than gen 2.
Allot of the cross gen evos in Gen 4 were related to Gen 2 pokemon

Gen 6 the only things I like out of it are goomy, phantump, and pumpkaboo lines. Still better single player than 8.
8 had a lot of hit or miss designs (most of which I honestly like but the ones I don't like I loathe) and awful single player.
7 is probably where I had the most fun for a campaign and shiny hunting and that dumbass photo booth mode in USUM.
I think the rest of my picks speak to the zoomer energy.
