For 2014-2019 Data on Top 4 Placements in Worlds, Defensive Score is based on Pokemon of that type (e.g. Metagross is 1 Point for Steel and 1 Point for Psychic), Offensive Score is based on prevalence of Attacking Moves of that type (e.g. Flare Blitz is 1 Point for Fire, Will-O-Wisp is not 1 Point for Fire).
There is a separate set of scores for Status usage but it basically boils down to most Pokemon have Protect and other Normal-Type Status moves with periodic appearances from Psychic and Dark and fuck all from anything else.
