How would you feel about a gym leader that only uses normal type pokemon with a second type, such as Girafarig, Bibarel or Sawsbuck?

it'd be cool. normal has a nice variety of designs, and dual normal types are fun. wouldn't really feel much different about it than current type gyms but it's a more interesting gimmick than just plain monotype gyms. the whole gym idea needs shaking up and i'd be more interested in seeing themed gyms rather than just types, like a leader who uses pokemon from space, or a chef who uses edible pokemon, one who uses pokemon with a specific color scheme, one who uses pokemon with misleading typings and deceitful tactics, etc.

Since the majority of Normal-type gym leaders and specialists just use pure Normal-types, I am game for that. But personally, I want a Normal-type Elite Four member. Normal, Grass, Fairy, and Electric are the only types not represented so far iirc.

Zoroark, an appropriate fighting type for Zoroark to pretend to be (Perhaps a Mienshao with Fake Out?), Ditto, Smeargle with Sheer Cold, that sort of thing?

They flirted with the idea back in gen 1, with Koga's gym being more of a Poison (status condition) gym than a Poison (type) one.

I never got why Normal-Type Gym Leaders don't use Dual Type Pokemon more, Whitney, Norman & Lenora only use pure Normal Types and Cheren only uses a dual type in Challenge Mode.

It would have been sick if Whitney had had a Girafarig to throw a wrench in the works of anybody trying to cheese her gym with a Gastly or Machop (or Geodude/Onix, to a lesser extent)
