Honestly... they did well with this.

Free version provides an extra box, free GTS and other features (albeit somewhat limited compared to the paid one)

For free... that is pretty generous.

Well if anyone thinks that... it isn't.

You're limited to one pokemon instead of the 3 or whatever (so the same as any prior GTS), but you can use it for free.

I honestly just wish we could get infinite Pokemon storage. It's 2020, Pokemon are a couple KB so the 6K limit is completely arbitrary.

The GTS is negative content and you don't need box space. Home was an objective failure as all it needed was a battle simulator to be consider good. If Sword and Shield weren't such chad games, gen 8 would be a failure because of this

You never used bank or something? If your subscriptions ends and you don't renew you can only take pokemon out, and become unable to put pokemon in.

I understand why it can mean a lot to people.

I've collected shit in the past, and there was a degree of attachment to those things when I did it.

Raising pokemon kind of caters to the same instinct.

The free version is preferable moving forward so long as you don't care to keep a living dex. It'll mean when transferring to the game after SS, you won't have to pay, as long as you're willing to transfer 30 at a time which isn't too big an issue.

The only lame shit is that transfer from Bank is premium only. But ultimately that just means I can get a month now and then never have to again unless I really desperately want to bring something over.
