The only people who lose out are the people who were most likely to use it, the people who have a living dex.
Of course this only raises more questions. If Home doesn't need NSO, why does the main game? If GTS was going to be free, why isn't it in the main game? Did they run out of time to implement all this in the first place. Why do you need a smartphone for a bunch of shit when it was revealed that was a bad idea back in fucking Crystal version?

No, transferring from Bank to Home is literally the only thing you have to pay for. If you already have Pokémon in Home say from mystery gift, transferring from LGPE which is also free, or if your subscription ran out, you can still transfer to SWSH for free.

Anon, that was 19 years ago and phones weren't wildly available back then, let alone smartphones. The franchise revolves around Go now.

If you transfer next month, then in June, then in Autumn, you’d only be paying $9 for Home, and $5 for Bank, which is $14 in total, which is still less than the actual $15.99 a year for Home + $5 for Bank. And then if they decide to do one more content update to complete the whole dex that’s another $3, making the grand total $17 instead of $20.99

Again, anyone who actually pays for any plan that isn’t the $3 is retarded.

I wasn't even that person, so chill lmao. Living without smartphones is easy, idk why you think it isn't. How did people survive before them? I mainly don't use one because I used to get addicted to my smartphone, so I just got a regular phone and if I needed maps I just used GPS.

Why make something twice? You'll have to make the GTS for every game ever. Making an online trading database is a lot more work than displaying some already existing values (IVs). Just make the GTS once and not waste any more dev time on it. Pretty sure gamefreak doesn't even develop Home.
