I'll admit I love Venusaur as well like nothing else, but Rillaboom fucking grew on me fast. It looks cool, it's got extremely fantastic animations, it's got a badass personality (I'm a big fan of gentle giant guardians who flip their shit at the first sign of their friends being in danger), it shares it's ability with a fucking LEGENDARY and manages to outclass it at most of it's roles, it's got the highest attack of all base form starters, it's surprisingly fast, big health bar lets it make the most of the x2 health from the retarded unga bunga mechanic, and it's signature move is fucking awesome and perfectly compliments it's playstyle (whereas most starter signature moves were useless or were good, but not on the starter) but at the same time isn't grotesquely overpowered.
I still love Venusaur but god damn I love this ape.
