What makes Corviknight so much better than the other Steel/Flying pokemon? I figured Corv was only so good because those pokemon plus magnezone was nowhere to be found.

The problem is that these mons are not yet compatible with all TRs and fun new moves that SWSH added. Also dynamax got banned in Smogon rules.

I'm assuming shit as well since Corviknight exists.
Steel really needs to be weak to electric so Corviknight and other cancerous steel flyings can fuck off. That type combo is 10 millions times better than steel fairy.

Physical Koko is literally free real estate for Ferrothorn, Rocky Helmet Landorus, Hippo, hell anything with Rocky Helmet works, even Tankchomp cucks it despite being weak to Play Rough. Brave Bird may make it better at dealing with Tangrowth and Bulu/Rillachad but this is the only upside.

You people complaining about the fanfic elements of the natdex ladder are missing the point. If Koko sucks with access to Z moves and Hidden Power, imagine how bad it is going to be in the standard OU meta where Lando easily counters every set except Specs clicking Dazzling Gleam.
