Gen 8 competitive is by far the worst competitive-wise. Everything is the samey, rental teams made breeding on your own completely useless. Vs. Recorder was removed.

Even if it was good, you could just play on Showdown.
In fact, anything competitive is just better done on simulator.
Not to mention that online battles have the time limit count down during animations.

the GF timer and Showdown timer are extremely different and Showdown's is much better.

Haven't paid for a game since Ultra Moon, I was thinking about buying Sword to do legit transfers along with having all my Pokemon since GBA in one place but Home costs too much long term. My hacked Switch is good for the next 5 years. It will just be my own save backups and pirated games from now on I think, unless home adds a battle sim.
