I used it in my playthrough of Sun simply because I was gifted a shiny one, but it didn't evolve until around the E4 and it, along with rufflet, were easily my weakest links until then.
As a baby mom it's not the shittiest Pokemon in existence, but it is a good example of GFs sheer laziness when it comes to anything resembling balance. That may not be directly Turner's fault, but for a man who claims he thinks of shit like that when designing Pokemon it smacks of insincerity and/or incompetence
