>>42591592>There's a lot of really nice details in the game, which makes it obvious that it was rushed, not lazy.I think people feel that there's plenty of stuff they could have added that seems easy.
>People keep saying this but I'm still not sure what it's about. The dex cut?Yes. Basically they said they remade the models (Which people didn't know whether to interpret as actually made entirely new models or just new meshes or whatever) and people said "hey wait a minute these models look exactly like the ones from the other games". So then when the game came out they compared them and surprise surprise, the models of the 3DS games and SwSh had similar polycounts. On top of that there's just the fact that the models look the same as they have since X/Y. If they remade the models, why not make new, different ones? The current models for older Pokemon are just so meh. Like Xatu.
And either way, the fact they chose to cut out a portion of all Pokemon out so early seems like laziness. Or, given the context of Home, greed. See because having "only" 600 Pokemon in one set of games being CATCHABLE in the region, is fine. But there's no reason to not allow you to OBTAIN all the others. And there shouldn't be until we hit 1500 or 2000, if that, really.
So the laziness thought comes from the fact that porting in a bunch of models from previous games should have been easy. Modders proved it was piss-easy to bring in Pokemon not already in the game. So why couldn't they? "They were rushed" is a load of nonsense, they had as much time as previous games if not more. What were they spending all that time DOING if not porting in Pokemon OR fixing up all the stuff I mentioned? Adding a fucking Currydex? And don't get me wrong I think the Curries look really nice, I'm willing to give some credit where credit is due. But I just can't see the argument that they were ONLY rushed when they had as much time with this game as with all previous installments.
