>>42590941There's not much to warrant a Sinnoh remake happening in Gen 8. SwSh's DLC is happening one year after the original games' release. With other Generations, that exact time would be the release of a new game. Sorry, but with Gamefreak, that spot has been reserved.
There's not much I could complain about the Sinnoh games themselves. They feel quite enjoyable and addicting as it is. They are fully-fledged experiences with plenty to do, from the main story to having contests, digging underground, catch a plethora of legendaries, fight in the Battle Frontier, rematch Gym Leaders, advanced Elite 4 and Champion fights, and even assistant rematches. There are much more to these games than I can name right now.
However, like any other generation, there are some flaws that after replaying both Pearl and Platinum over ten times combined still manage to tick me off for over 10 years.
Both Pearl and Platinum have a limited Pokedex selection, especially in Pearl. Pearl's 150-mon critter selection only leaves me very little when it comes to team diversity. The only options when it comes to having picky tastes when it comes to teams (no type overlap, color overlap, involves a consistent amount of pokemon from every generation) involve me using pokemon I haven't used before, and that might be a good experience in some situations. In this case, however, it makes me feel uncomfortable when it comes to using Pokemon out of my comfort zone.
