>>42598061Do it man, it's what I've done. When I heard they were rebooting Digimon Adventure, I decided to do something I've wanted to do for years and rewatch the series in Japanese. But I went a few extra steps and started investigating the release history and what Digimon debuted in what and when. And after finishing Adventure and its movies, I'm gonna continue with 02, Tamers, Frontier, etc. Now I want to play Digimon games because I feel invested in the world.
I'm also looking forward to SMT V, even if it's over a year away. People say that SMT is edgy Pokémon, but Digimon feels a lot closer to it.
But you shouldn't be looking for a Pokémon replacement. You should be looking for things that are just good. If you're looking for a replacement, you're just going to constantly compare it to what you're replacing, and you need to appreciate the new thing for what it is and not what you want it to be.
