>>42601856It's okay, anon. I found Hop quite irritating too, for the majority of the game. He redeemed himself in the postgame for me, where he finally started to grow on me, but I don't disagree.
Hop's main problem, for me, is over-exposure. You see so damned much of him compared to the other rivals. Bede shows up a decent amount, and his story arc is pretty good. Marnie, on the other hand, feels like she barely appears. She doesn't really get any character development, and is totally sidelined in the postgame for Piers (although not that that's any bad thing- I was totally content to have him come babysit me and Hop for no good reason beyond that he's bored.)
Also, we have this question just about every thread. It's a total mix of people that inhabit these threads, and it's about a 50/50 male/female split here. Everyone is just here to share the love.
