If yes then the episode with Heracross vs Scisor fight, the one where Ash was fighting against dude that believed more in his laptop than actual things, pretty cool fight and Ash actualy was kinda cool there.
If not then dunno, the episode about Caterpie? You know, the one where we see him having small talk with Pikachu and despite absolute lack of talking, that scene still had more character and feelings than most of modern anime.
