>>42609696Probably worst era in pokemon altogether. Pokemon interest was very low during gen 5 and zoomers weren't into pokemon anymore. Boomers felt like gen 5 was a slap to the face and zoomers felt like there wasn't anything new that it brought to the table, that gen 4 didn't already. The new pokemon didn't appeal to any demographic and the comparison to gen 1 brought a huge amount of criticism. Hidden abilities and reusable tm's weren't doing it for casualfags and the rise of r4s was accessible and prominent this era than it was during gen 4. Shillmons during this era failed to catch interest and multimedia like the anime and movies were met with criticism with it's quality compared to gen 3 and 4. Casualfags playing swsh thinking gen 5 pokemon are new gen 8 ones should be a telling sign of what impact gen 5 had on the general public. Veepee and plebbit are contrarians and unovabortions are very vocal so thats probably why it seems like gen 5 games are talked about alot. Unovabortions enjoy the limelight in swsh and vocality, because once kalosperms come in, unovabortions will be something of the past.
