Not him but the japanese manual says 11, the english one is the one that says 10. Gen 2 protagonist is supposed to be same age as Red when he stopped the Team Rocket (same for Nate and Rosa in regards Hilbert and Hilda), gen 4 protagonist have almost the same height and weight as the gen 2 protagonist if you check the pokedex and finally gen 6 protagonist are older than Emna who is said to be 16 in some Xerosic's records so they are at least 17

Nope, Ash is 10 in all versions. My headcanon is that they thought it would have been cool if Ash aged when he became a Champion for first time (an actual Champion, not Orange Islands shit), making him more similar to Red, but has been so long they dropped the idea already. Which is a shame, SM's ending would have been perfect if Ash finally became 11 after beating Kukui

I want the expansions to have an elite 4 that has of all the previous galar champs + mustard and leon. And they way you get to fight them is entering a tournament with all the gym leaders (even the “version exclusive” ones) and rivals and all their teams are full teams of 6 at level 75 minimum.

A. Not everyone in Hoenn can get a Blaziken (especially when half of Hoenn is the ocean) and Not everyone in Sinnoh can get a Froslass/Weavile (which only covers 2-3 Pokemon, and any other Ice type folds to Garchomp) You can literally find a Tyranitar is the Wild Areas pretty easily, and beats like 3-4 of his Pokemon, and all Tyranitar has to worry about is Aegislash surviving.
B. Steven and Cynthia were not as fellated as Leon is with their respective games

Leon gives you a reason to respect him with his confident, passionate, and yet responsible personality. You can tell he cares about battling and he's good at it too. You don't really have a reason to respect Lance aside from he goes around beating up Rockets, generic good guy stuff, so he doesn't deserve being cool and serious. Red I can at least understand because he's the player character so the legacy builds itself but there's no interaction with him as a trainer despite his strength, so you can't really do anything with him being the strongest.

Reminder that before Victor and Hop became trainers Raihan was the only trainer that Leon could call a rival in Galar, yet the Champion Cup shows Piers is almost as strong as Raihan despite not having Max pokemon.
Piers is a top tier trainer and could kick Raihan's ass if he used Dynamax, he's the real silver medal of the region (would probably rise even higher if he cut the mono type meme out)

This is a fantasy. We don't need characters to feel like people. We just need them to look cool, look hot and do awesome shit with maybe a cool catchphrase or two in the middle. Anything else is extra.

Leon is honestly kinda lame cause he never actually does anything in the plot hat stops to make you think "Wow, this guy is the real deal! I can't wait to be as strong as him!" and instead is either just there or...not. He's not an obnoxious Scrappy Doo like his younger brother, but h doesn't leave much of an impression and he goes down so easily no matter where you fight him.

That said, while I wouldn't mind Red from a series symbolism standpoint, Lance being World Champ wouldn't feel right either. The only other existing Champions I'd feel right giving that to are Green, Iris or Cynthia.

Or fuck with everyone's expectations and make it another majr game character no one would expect to become World Champ but wouldn't really argue against it either.

I didn't say they "should" only be that, just that that's all people really "need". Why do you think some of the most popular video game characters of all time actually barely have all that much to them? Because most people don't care about that shit and you have to be really skilled or lucky to make them care beyond that which is why the ratio to ones that do and ones that don't is so vastly on the favor of those that are more simply and to the point.

The point is that just being cool all the time isn't actually cool at all. Making someone act cheerful makes them more menacing when they're actually serious because of the contrast. They have the ability to act friendly because of how confident they are in their power, so fighting them makes you feel like you're fighting more than a cardboard box, you're fighting an ally that's had the power to crush you this entire time. Whereas a stoic champ like Leon or Cynthia just feel like they don't really give a shit about battling or anything except for showing up to stop the evil team to stop it, so fighting them doesn't really feel special.

I'd argue you only actually get that vibe with Leon. Who looks at Cynthia with awe except for her in-game team? She just goes on half-assedly about myths despite no one caring, gives you random stuff, says "No!" when Team Galactic do something bad, and then is just sitting there in the champion's room like she deserves it. She's so boring. It doesn't feel like she gives a shit about battling, she just happens to be very talented at it. Meanwhile Leon 'has his dick sucked' by everyone because he's a celebrity and he demonstrates why in the very opening. Despite his clear power he's still friendly around you and Hop but regards things like entering the Gym Challenge as important and is hesitant about even letting you enter, he clearly cares. He's also the one known for taking care of business because everyone treats him this way, such as Rose trusting him to be the one to capture Eternatus (and only doesn't because of one failed Pokeball which confuses me because he could just throw more but I guess the player has to have a reason to catch it) and the public letting him take care of the Dynamaxing Pokemon. The fact that he shows his talent through passion, his actions, and everyone's perception of him is way cooler than Cynthia just sitting in the champion's room because strong, stoic, smart, whatever. Same with Lance and most other champions.

Leon is a person that loves battling and loves pokemon. That is literally what every single champion in every single one of those games preaches. It's insane to be mad that the anime shilling the new game is using him as world champion just because he's not an autistic anime stoic. Specially since by all means Pokemon as a franchise has a huge number of "wise guy strong trainer", so frankly a really strong but really jovial guy like Leon actualy adds a bit of variety to it.

I wouldn't waste my money on that shit, but I did watch entire playthroughs of it 4 times. Two from the leaks and two after release. I didn't feel ANY of what you're talking about but felt that from Cynthia with her having her own life outside of being a Champion that was interesting like most of the other Champs did. Even Alder and Diantha, as dull as they were.
