Wait USUM is really that tricky? I had a tough time with W2 challenge mode and I had a pretty good team for it. (It was the first playthrough in a while that I stopped EV training through the campaign)

Totem fights are objectively the hardest thing in the entire series. Every single gym leader in gen 5 can be beaten extremely easily and the only thing that came to remotely challenging in both games was Ghetsis at the end of BW1.

Totem fights in Sun weren't hard and everyone bitched the Lurantis was hard. Fucking pussies can't deal with a slow moving mantis. Oh and if you take into account Pokepelago it's one of the easiest games because I just take a day or 2 off and my mons are automatically viable.

Why is the Pinsir using the worst possible nature for a physical attacker? I thought every NPC is programed to have the mon always have a neutral nature and 0 EVs.

i have replayed every region in the past year, theres no nostalgia here.
gen 5 is the hardest but theyre all piss easy. johto is the second hardest due to shit level curve but its not real difficulty.

I'll give you that argument for gen 1-3 days, but Gen 5 was only three gens ago.

Gen 4 was like the easiest to get into competitive Pokemon once shit like shoddybattle dropped and led to Pokemon showdown.

DP even with EV training is a bitch. I only got luck once with a special sweep on an Infernape because the Spiritomb was being stupid for no reason allowing me to set up Nasty Plot and literally knock out everyone in her team with that one monkey.

Does anyone actually believe this? Darmanitan and Tepig/Pignite/Emboar can solo most of the Gym battles. The only example anyone ever brings up when it comes to difficulty is Ghetsis but even then the only thing that makes him "hard" is his hacked Hydreigon and even then it can just die in 1 hit because half of the mons introduced in Gen 5 are ridiculously overpowered. If you want a Pokemon game that at least tries to pose a challenge play Colosseum, a game that actually tests your skill.
