Why is there such hate for Persian now? No one even cared about Persian until its Garfield form not everyone thinks it's the next best thing and the original Persian is an ugly mistake. Now there's even a split evo so you don't have to evolve your Meowth into a Persian.

Yes. Hopefully future regional Meowth evos are Perrserker and not my mom's cat. I can easily see Ice (fluffier + claws made of ice; maybe in a Scandinavian region?) and Rock (more dwarf-like + claws made of stone), thus completing all 5 Fighting-weak types.

it does not actually look like it was originally intended to evolve from Meowth, and considering it's from gen 1 that is probably the case

meanwhile Alolan Persian is clearly related to Alolan Meowth

I ended up using this thing in my Sun play through despite being a bit put off by the evolution, I can appreciate it knowing what it’s based off. Absolutely can appreciate how goofy it looks given its concept. Plus not all Pokémon needs to look cute or cool, the design philosophy about Pokémon being more memorable their “uncool” trait is what I see in A-Persian.
