Katonian Farfetch'd. Don't know why you would ever use it when there are multiple better options in the game. Only available via an in-game trade in the Kanto games and only available via post-game swarms in Sinnoh and Unova.

Back in the 90s they made it out as a big deal in the anime and it was assumed since the trade pokemon were only obtainable once per game they were inherently better than what you could just catch. WRONG you can catch him in the wild in Pokemon Yellow, and that is just what I did. Farfetch'd is also the main original swords dance user, being one of the only three pokemon in Gen 1 to learn swords dance by level up out of the already select few who can learn it by the single use per game TM. He also learns it at the most usable level (24) compared to 35 and 54 on Scyther and Pinsir and of the three he is the only one with not only one, but two good STAB options.

Glameow - sure it got a good amount of screentime in the anime, and Purugly was the Ace of Mars, but Glameow is probably one of the rarest Pokemon ingame.

You can only get the cat in Pearl, a Hidden grotto in White 2 and a Mirage Forest in ORAS.

I feel ya. I lived in buttfuck nowhere as well when it came out but when I moved into a city there was plenty to go around and do. I use it as an excuse to go for walks mostly. Also meeting with people to do raids is kinda fun as well, even if it's causal fun. I wish this shit came out when i was in college though, maybe I would have met a qt pokegirl or something.

Hey yeah uh, it's this thing right? Only just came out, has Sunkern tier stats, including a base 10 speed, an abysmal movepool, a so-so evolution and is outclassed by absolutely any other grass type you can catch before it shows up. It's stats are so poor you cant even justify putting an eviolite on it. It only learns grass and normal moves with the exception of Pollen Puff. Just an absolute garbage Pokemon really with little time or reason for it to be used very much.
