I‘m fairly sure the 16m are bloated. The Switch is by far more expensive than a 3/DS and the price for the games are pretty steep as well. You‘d think that alone would result in less sales.

It won't beat Gen 2 in terms of sales (23 million) but it almost definitely will in terms of gross. GS was sold for $30 and its total gross would have been $690M, or a little over $1 billion in today's dollars. So at $60, SwSh doesn't need that many more sales in order to beat it.

Altho maybe GS was sold at more like $35? Does anyone know or remember?
