Favourite: Black and White
Gym leaders and elite 4 should've been harder. I get that they only had so many pokemon to pick from, so they couldn't have that many, but they should've given them held items and the ability to switch to make up for it.
Least Favourite: Sword and shield
Not only do they have overworld encounters but the mons run away or chase you depending on how you'd expect it to act, and their overworld movement speed seems to be based on their actual speed stat to boot. On top of this some pokemon are ONLY obtainable by calling them over to you. The game is filled with small but substantial details like this, so it's such a pity that the game came out in an unfinished and shitty state.
Some of the patches could even update the shitty textures and maybe add some extra stuff to do in the wild area but I know they won't.

besides Kyurem not getting it's whole form fuck the whole mess that was that tree in the middle of the region. it was crappy and to a certain degree I hated the dream world too

being able to mint and cap legendary mons and wild caught shinies is nice, and to be frank I like the ideas promoted for the DLC, even though they should have been base game shit.

G/S/C - The level balance is wonky as fuck. Youre 6 badges deep and your team is in the late 30s. You go to kanto and the strongest trainers are only have level 40 pokemon. Then you get to Red and it's lul level 76+

Sw/Sh - has some really good character designs. Like, almost every female character is waifu material. I've never wanted to play a game more than sw/sh because of the female designs.
