>>42636140the basic concept is jojo's bizarre adventure with pokémon
each arc is pretty short and usually has a gimmick. white is a film producer, sun is a wagie, sapphire is a thot etc.
the battles are generally the highlight. writing takes the lore completely seriously, even citing poké dex entries if they have to. trainers get creative with their tactics. it's less about USE VOLT TACKLE PIKACHU and more about situational awareness and planning ahead. leads to a lot of cool reveals when a plan comes together.
characters are pretty simple but never bad imo. usually characters get their two traits and their interactions are about those traits playing off of each other. pretty typical manga shit
the villains are consistently fun because they're evil as shit. a lot of gym leaders are complete assholes in this universe and people will straight up try to murder each other with their pokémon
overall it's definitely the best written pokémon fiction and, to me, it's what i imagined in my head as i was playing the early games. kids on an adventure, motivated by some overarching goal, and getting into danger on their way to it. if you give a fuck about the pokémon setting you'll like adventures
