I fucking hated him for years until he 2-0d Clawitzer+Aegislash against Sawyer, and then 2-0d Tyranitar+Metagross ONCE MORE against Alain.

Ever since that day, all my hate for Pikachu was transferred into the jobber frog. He tried so hard, man. He got FUCKED by Aegislash and Metagross and he still managed to beat them both.

That fucking rat was MVP in 2016, and I'm so glad he was able to beat Koko 3 years later.

Pikachu is hated by most fans nowadays because he's the mascot of the franchise and the most iconic pokemon in media history. He hated just like how Mario is hated for being the popular chad character, all while Luigi is held by memers/hipsters for being the poor little underdog character. That said, I like Pikachu and I would often use him if there are no better or more appealing Electric types around because Pikachu is cool to me regardless.
