cause 2 of them are going to evolve into Dustox, 1 won't evolve and will get sad AF, Go will feel bad for it and will take it with him to train so it can evolve like the others, he goes to Galar with Ash and typical TR shit and it evolves into Galarian Dustox.

I'ts a pretty fucking obvious Pokemon anime plotline.

I think cascoon/silcoon's spiky things were initially supposed to be represent the pokémon being attached to tree branches or something, since you can't really see the tips in the sprite.
Only at a later moment GF realized that would cause problems.

They aren't doing a Galar storyline

If they were, they wouldn't have advertised the new anime taking place in "all regions" and would have just went to Galar and stayed there to begin with

Even if they do go to Galar more than any other region, the homebase is in Kanto and they're always going to go back there (especially since the other reoccurring side characters don't travel with them,)
